Title: 'What Good Food / you are what you eat'

My work is about the poisonous chemicals inserted within the food in Taiwan. I focus on the food packages in particular. I have three parts to this work; firstly I photograph decomposing food, which is past its sell by date. Food has a direct impact; the consummation of food to one's body gives it an animalistic reference. As society says; "You're what you eat." I create my own projects involving fake food in jars with the use of Silicon, creating a connection between the unknown chemicals within food that is consumed, to my own representation of food that is in fact false.  The organic quality and beautiful food in the world is misconstrued through the use of packaging, and with its concealment hides the truth.
The work forms different shapes, colours and queer smells as the silicon mixture produces a new material. Actually, to consider such queer chemicals, we consume food which is chemical and additive yet are unknowingly partaking in this action. This concealment generates harmfulness to our bodies by the food we digest, yet, this is only recognised after the intake is too much.
